Granola

Ingredients:
1/2 kg of thin or thick oats
1 cup of brown sugar (not recommended for diabetics)
50g of grated coconut
1 cup of wheat bran
1/3 cup of wheat germ
1/3 cup of raisin without seed
1/3 cup of chopped peanuts or chestnuts
1/3 cup of corn oil
1/3 cup of water
2 cups of corn flakes Method: Mix all dry ingredients except corn flakes and raisins , in a large basin. Add the beaten oil and water in a blender, mixing well.


Place 3 cups of granola on a large baking sheet and place in the medium oven and slowly toast until it is dry and crispy. Stir the granola every 10 minutes with a spatula. Remove from the oven, place the granola in a large bowl and let it cool in a ventilated place. Add the corn flakes and raisins.
Pack in tightly closed plastic bags, glass or cans.
Keep out of the refrigerator for a month.
Serve:
Serve it pure, with cold or hot soy milk, with fruit salads, beat in a blender with soy milk and fruits.
Use as a topping for fruit pies.
Granola is an energetic and nutritious food, much appreciated by children.
Diabetics can help themselves, with no added sugar.
