Many people wonder how long the law lasts? The answer is again a question. What law?

It is therefore important to know how to limit the terms in order to be able to understand all the texts of the bible, because one has to know what one text talks about, and what the other text mentions.

Do not think that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets; I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill 2 . So it is said that Jesus did not come to destroy, but what would it be to destroy? The Greek term 3 , refers to making demolish fall down. So the law and the prophets Jesus did not come to demolish, or below, but to fulfill. And what is compliance? Fulfillment comes from the idea of the Greek term 5 which defines to satisfy, complete, elevate , as the term does not refer to a term, and is not a substantive form, it does not have the function of ending, which confirms text 2 , thus the term fulfilling 5 has no idea of finishing.

So the term fulfill 5 is related to raising the law to a new era. The law was normally used with a pact, so that normally the visible action was marked as fulfilling the pact 6 . In this case, the laws were placed inside the ark, and these were demonstrated by texts, and not by practical action. So the ways of following involved norms, not examples. With the appearance of the messiah, the norms are no longer seen as text, and begin to be seen as an example. Law as norms cannot be visualized and made personal, with Jesus one can fulfill verse 7 8. Thus a man can observe the example of Christ and thus by example the person can feel what it is like to follow the law. So there is the sum of two ways of observing the law, one for knowledge and the other for feeling. Thus the law is elevated to the point of human feeling by the example of Christ.

So the Law and the prophets go to Christ so that Christ adds the feeling factor to the normative concept of the law. Not that the law has been erased, but that it has been demonstrated to be inscribed in the heart. The foundation of every law is to love God over all things 9 and your neighbor as yourself 10 . The Ten Commandments, written by the finger of God 11 , is a partial breakdown of foundation 9 and 10 , but foundation 9 and 10 is to imitate God 12 . The rules before the ten commandments are based on imitation of God 12 .

We can detect that the Ten Commandments is an offshoot of imitating God with the verse in Genesis in which God sanctifies the seventh day 13 . We note that the main foundation is to imitate God 12 , so we have the ten commandments to be grounded on the basis of imitating 12 , it has to contain this foundation of imitating, and we can find an example of such imitation in the 4th commandment of the ten commandments 14 . So we have the bridge to imitate God 12 . So we can see that the basis of the laws before the ten commandments was based on the example of God, among which we highlight the 13th Sabbath .

We see therefore that Jesus did not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill it, or to elevate it from a theoretical context to a practical concept. So, for example, to keep the 4 commandment, we observe how Jesus kept the Sabbath, and so we can have practical action. And so we can see that it is lawful to do well on Saturdays 15 , this does not annul the law, it just shows in practice how it should be followed.
