According to the verse in Revelation 14: 9 1 , when we read the term mark of the beast we have " If anyone adores the beast and its image and receives its mark on the forehead or hand " 1 , where the term mark is seen, we have the term "χάραγμα - charagma" 2 , which uses the root "χάραξ - charax" 3 .

While "χάραγμα - charagma" 2 , it has the idea of ​​a figure, or sculpture, "χάραξ - charax" 3 , it has the idea of ​​being surrounded, trapped, entrenched. What determines that the concept marks the beast, is the concept of worshiping the beast, or obedient to the beast, surrounded by the beast to the point of screen as an idol.

The mark of the beast is to be connected to the beast, to be evolved with the beast, to have the worship idol the beast. If the hand is wrapped or sunk (entrenched) then it has the mark, if it is using your mind with the idea of ​​the beast (surrounded), then it is with (idol) of the beast.

So to know what it is to obey the beast, it first involves discovering who the beast is.

We have some signs, the first is in history we have the report "He was given the power to fight against the saints and to overcome them" 4, now we have to look in history for a person who may have fought against the saints and won them over.

We must keep in mind that the statue contained in Daniel determines, Babylon, Media and Persia, Greece, Rome, and divided kingdoms. Which of these kingdoms fought against the saints and won?

Who are the saints? The term saints found is "hagios" 5 , which comes from sacred or consecrated. Take, for example, Babylon conquered Israel, why was Nebuchadnezzar a servant of God or a servant of Satan? Now Nebuchadnezzar was a servant of God 6 , so he was consecrated, so that Israel's rule was because such people were not holy. Logically, neither in the Persian Medo period nor in Greece, and even in the time of Rome Israel was a group of holy people. On the contrary, "the people are obstinate and rebellious in heart; they have rebelled and gone " 7 .

Now all the peoples who were at war with Israel won only when Israel was not with God, and neither did Babylon, Fear Persia, and Greece attack the Hebrews' belief other than a people, the Romans. The Romans defined that the deities to be accepted would be the Greco-Roman, and sought the Hellenization of religions, and culture. While the culture in general was Greek, the dominant power was Rome. So we have a kingdom that fought directly with the Saints.

Then we have the following sentence " He was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation " 4 , now all the kingdoms before Rome had dominion over peoples, but they did not seek to have dominion over their cultures. In contrast, Rome determined changes in culture, language, and people. So we have today, the months like January, of the god Janus (Greco-Roman), we have the month of Julius, of Julio Cesar. We use the Roman calendar, the measurements of time, from midnight to noon are Roman. The norms of law and culture were imposed by Rome, now there is no other kingdom that fits the term " He was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation " 4 ,

So we are starting to find the beast. This is linked to the Roman empire, so that there is no nation that has held the above verses other than the kingdom of Rome. But " to make war on the saints " 4, how do you manage to make war on the saints? Should saints go to war and take people's lives? Is it in a bloody battle that you fight with saints?

Now clearly, the battle against the saints is not in the way the saints take up arms, but in struggles against their faith. We saw that the only kingdom that wanted to Hellenize was the Roman empire. And he instituted Greek, and Latin as the dominant languages ​​of all the dominated peoples, including Israel. Thus in Rome we have the proof of the verse " He was given authority over all tribe, people, language and nation ", and " He was also given the power to fight against the saints and to overcome them " 4.
