Talking about personality in the bible, we must first understand that there is no term that is translated by personality.
Personality comes from the Latin personare or persona meaning mask. It comes from the story in which the actors should play several characters among them women, since women could not act together, and for that they wore masks, so every time we use the term personality in its foundation we are saying of a mask.
So the use of the term personality is extremely complex when used for biblical terms because there is no connection between that term and in the modern context it is extremely confusing to say what personality is. For example, a person who does everything others do can be said to have no personality. Now we can use that a person has no personality. See what a strange thing it would be to use the term personality in the Bible, if such a term has no parallel with the diversity of the concept of personality.
In John 16:13 to 14, however, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth; because he will not speak for himself, but he will say everything he has heard and announce to you the things to come.
He will glorify me, because he will receive what is mine and will announce it to you.
According to the above verses, we have that the Spirit of truth "will not speak for itself, but will say all that it has heard", that is to say such is the mask, that is to say the personare of another. So that it represents another, and that is why we still have the next text said by a writer.
“Limited by humanity, Christ could not be personally everywhere; therefore, it was for their benefit that He left them, went to His Father, and sent the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself stripped of the human personality and independent of it. He would represent Himself as present everywhere by His Holy Spirit, as the Omnipresent. MR 14, page 23,24
In other words, "stripped of human personality", that is, leaving the mask of a human being.
In John 15:26 to 27 When, however, the Comforter comes, I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from him, he will testify of me; and you will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
We can read John 14:16 to 17 And I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you forever, the Spirit of truth, that the world cannot receive, because it does not see it, nor know it ; you know him, because he lives with you and will be in you.
In John 14:26 but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said to you.
In these three texts we have the following, I fear the term consoler is the Greek term παράκλητος paracletos which means lawyer, or intercessor. But for that we have the text.
Seeing First Timothy 2: 5 Because there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus, man,
That way we have another part that says "When, however, the Comforter comes," and says "you know him, because he lives with you and will be in you", now the comforter will come or was he already with them? Now do we also have another mediator besides Christ? Now to determine the correct concept is that the comforter is Christ himself, before going to heaven he was with them and they knew him because it was Jesus who lived with them. But going to Heaven, Jesus would come through the personality (mask) that is being Christ. So the personality of the Spirit as a paraclete is Christ Himself.
When we have the term "will give another Comforter", how can we organize "you know him, because he lives with you", now he is saying that another is the one who lives with them, and then says "it will be in you", see that Jesus says that it dwells with them, and they know, and then says that it will be in you. Now the other can only be differently, one in human personality, and the other without human personality. For what else but Jesus would be living with them and what else would be after them. The verse is clear.
In revelations of Revelation 3:20 and 21 Behold, I am at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me.
To the winner, I will give him to sit with me on my throne, just as I also won and sat with my Father on his throne.
Now whoever is knocking on the door of the heart is the Son of God. Now when we read this verse we can find the text "it will be in you", now who will be in voice, he who knocks the door of the heart. And even the verse says.
Reading John 14:23 Jesus answered, If anyone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Again we have that Jesus and the Father will make homes, now Jesus went to Heaven so that he could now come as the omnipresent.
In Romans 8:14 and 15 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery, to live in fear again, but you did receive the spirit of adoption, based on which we cry: Abba, Father.
Reading Romans 8:27 And he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because according to the will of God it is he who intercedes for the saints.
We have, for example, receiving a spirit of slavery and a spirit of adoption, and linked to the spirit of God. See that the term spirit is linked to the concept of determination, that is, the spirit of slavery is to define that such a person is a slave, the spirit of adoption is defined that such a person is adopted, and so as the text the spirit of God is defined for those who are from God, and therefore being from God, they receive the spirit of adoption and not slavery.
What we have is that receiving the spirit makes the person one with the spirit that receives, once receiving the Spirit of Christ, the person is one with Christ.
In Romans 15:30, I beseech you, brothers, for our Lord Jesus Christ and for the love of the Spirit, that you fight together with me in your prayers for me to God,
Just as the Spirit involves connecting with two beings, it sends the feelings of the beings that become one. So what we have is that the love that is in Christ is passed on to men by the spirit. Since love is from God, it is passed on to men through the spirit. For example, if there is a source of oil and a pipeline, which transfers oil, it is easy to say the oil in the pipeline, but it is known that the source of that oil is in an oil well. So the spirit conveys all the feelings of God as it listens and does not speak about itself.
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth; because he will not speak for himself, but he will say what he has heard, and will tell you things to come.
Thus the love heard will be the love transferred, if it is the love of Christ, then the spirit will send the love of Christ, if it is the love of the Father it will also be transmitted, but the spirit will not be able to speak for itself. Soon the love contained in it that can be felt cannot be from itself or else the verse will be a liar.
First to Corinthians 2:10 and 11 For God has revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
For which of men understands the things of man, if not the spirit of man who is in him? so also the things of God, no one understood them, except the Spirit of God.
The biblical text says the spirit of man who understands the things of man. Now I fear that the spirit of man who understands, but the spirit of man is an integral part of man, so also the spirit of God understands the things of God. And therefore it is an integral part of God.
For example when we read the text.
Acts 8:29 The Spirit said to Philip, Come and join this car.
Acts 10:19 While Peter was meditating on the vision, the Spirit said to him: Two men are looking for you;
Acts 28:25 And when there was disagreement between them, they said goodbye, saying these words: Well the Holy Spirit spoke to your fathers through the prophet Isaiah, when he said:
And then we can read the text
John 16:13 but when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth; because he will not speak for himself, but he will say everything he has heard and announce to you the things to come.
Question in acts, did the Spirit speak to Philip by himself, or spoke what he heard from another? Now what we have for the verse of John 16:13, is that what was spoken to Philip was what he had heard from another being. Now and Peter heard what the Spirit spoke for himself or heard what the Spirit heard. And also in deeds what the Spirit spoke was of himself, or came from what he heard from another who had spoken.
It is clear that the Spirit hears and transmits what he has heard. Either that is accepted or we violate the verse of John that was said by Christ.
Let us now note the following points.
Letter to Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
And we can also read
Luke 1:46, 47 Then Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
Could we say that Mary is two people? So that Mary's spirit rejoiced, and doesn't that term define Mary as a living soul with body and spirit rejoiced? If in saying the spirit of Mary she was glad we are saying that Mary was glad, then when we sadden the Spirit of God we are saddening God.
Or reading the verse
Colossians 2: 5 For though absent in body, yet in spirit, I am with you, rejoicing and verifying your good order and the strength of your faith in Christ.
Now what we have here is that Paul was separated from his spirit and he was with the Corinthians? Or are you saying that Paul and the Christians shared the same body in Spirit that is the body of Christ?
First to Corinthians 12:11 to 13 But one and the same Spirit accomplishes all these things, distributing them, as he pleases, to each one, individually.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all members, being many, constitute one body, so also with respect to Christ.
For, in one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews, Greeks, slaves, or free. And we were all given the drink of one Spirit.
Romans 12: 4 For just as in one body we have many members, but not all members have the same function,
We will now read the following text
Romans 15:13 And the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in your belief, so that you may be rich in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.
First to Corinthians 2: 4, 5 My word and my preaching were not persuasive language of wisdom, but a demonstration of the Spirit and power,
lest your faith be based on human wisdom, but on the power of God. .
When reading these verses is the power of the Spirit the power of God, or does the term power necessarily define that power is separate?
Let's look at another text
Hebrews 2:14 Therefore, seeing that the children have a common participation of flesh and blood, he also participated in these, so that, by his death, he might destroy the one who has the power of death, namely the devil,
Whose power is death, is it death? Or is the power of death the devil's? Could we say that death has power as a separate being? And as we read the text of Jesus.
In Luke 22:52 to 53 Then, Jesus addressing the chief priests, captains of the temple and elders who came to arrest him, said: Did you go out with swords and clubs as to stop a robber?
Daily, while I was with you in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. This, however, is your hour and the power of darkness.
Now what we have is that the darkness is a separate being called darkness and that being has power, or is it speaking of the evil ones that were free at the moment that God decided so that they might have the power of evil, or or power of darkness?
Now we can say in the power of the waters, in the power of the wind, but all these powers are from God. Defining power, just determines that something or someone can do things.
And in fact, as we have that the body of God is Spirit, we have that the body of God can do all things and be everywhere being omnipresent. In fact, God presents himself to man by his Spirit.
