Mars cannot retain a breathable atmosphere, and it does not have a magnetic core to protect people from radiation from space.
That is, if we destroy the planet, we are signing the suicide itself. In fact destruction always occurs because of power and greed. We can see that most protesters are young, and indeed they will end up suffering from the destruction done by their elders. In a way this is not fair.
