BRUIT.A bruit (pronounced as brute) is a rumour or report (Fr. bruit, from bruire to roar). Thus 2Ma_4:39 the bruit of his manliness was spread everywhere; Nah_3:19 all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee.
