jer?i-moth (see JEREMOTH, (c)):
(1) A Benjamite (1Ch_7:7).
(2) A Benjamite who joined David at Ziklag, or perhaps a Judean (1Ch_12:5 (Hebrew 6)).
(3) In 1Ch_24:30 = JEREMOTH, (4) (which see).
(4) A Levite musician in David's time (1Ch_25:4).
(5) Son of David and father of Mahalath, Rehoboam's wife (2Ch_11:18). He is not mentioned (2Sa_3:2-5; 2Sa_5:14-16; 1Ch_3:1-9; 1Ch_14:4-7) among the sons of David's wives, so Curtis (Ch, 369) thinks that he was either the son of a concubine, or possibly the name is a corruption of ?Ithream? (יתרעם, yithre‛ām, 1Ch_3:3).
(6) A Levite overseer in Hezekiah's time (2Ch_31:13).

Jerimoth
(Heb. Yerimoth', יְרַימוֹת, heights, i.q. Jeremoth), the name of several men. SEE JEREMOTH.
1. (Sept. Ι᾿εριμούθ) One of the five sons of Bela, son of Benjamin, a valiant chief of his tribe (1Ch_7:7). B.C. post 1856.
2. (Sept. Ι᾿εριμώθ) The last named of the three sons of Mushi, grandson of Levi (1Ch_24:30); elsewhere (1Ch_23:23) called JEREMOTH SEE JEREMOTH (q.v.).
3. (Sept. Ι᾿αριμούθ v.r. Α᾿ριμώθ)) One of the famous Benjamite archers and slingers that joined David's band at Ziklag (1Ch_12:5). B.C. 1055.
4. (Sept. Ι᾿εριμούθ v.r. Ι᾿εριμώθ)) One of the fourteen sons of Heman, and appointed a Levitical musician under his father in the arrangement of the sacred services by David (1Ch_25:4); probably the same elsewhere (1Ch_25:22) called JEREMOTH.
5. (Sept. Ι᾿εριμούθ v.r. Ι᾿εριμώθ)) Son of Azriel, and “captain” of Naphtali under David and Solomon (1Ch_27:19). B.C. 1014.
6. (Sept. Ε᾿ρμούθ v.r. Ι᾿εριμώθ.) A son of David, whose daughter Mahalath was Rehoboam's first wife (2Ch_11:18). B.C. ante 973. He appears to have been different from any of David's sons elsewhere enumerated (2Sa_3:2-5; 1Ch_14:4-7), having, perhaps, been born of a concubine (compare 2Sa_16:21). SEE DAVID. “This, in fact, is the Jewish tradition respecting his maternity (Jerome, Quoestiones, ad loc.). It is, however, somewhat questionable whether Rehoboam would have married the grandchild of a concubine even of the great David. The passage 2Ch_11:18 is not quite clear, since the word ‘daughter' is a correction of the Keri: the original text had בן, i.e. ‘son.'”
7. (Sept. Ι᾿εριμώθ.) A Levite, one of the overseers of the Temple offerings in the time of Hezekiah (2Ch_31:13). B.C. 726.
