jesh-a-rē?la (ישׁראלה, yesar'ēlāh, meaning doubtful): One of the (or probably a family of) Levitical musicians (1Ch_25:14), called ?Asharelah? in 1Ch_25:2. The names should be written ?Asarelah? and ?Jesarelah.?

[some Jeshare'lah] (Heb. Yeshare'lah, יְשִׁרְאֵלָה, upright towards God; some copies read, יְשִׂרְאֵלָה, Yesare'lah; Septuag. Ι᾿σρεηλά v.r. Ι᾿σεριήλ; Vulg. Isreela), the head of the seventh division of Levitical musicians (1Ch_25:14); elsewhere called by the equivalent name ASARELAH (1Ch_25:2). B.C. 1014.
