NAARAH (girl).1.One of the wives of Ashhur the father of Tekoa (1Ch_4:5 f.). 2. A town of Ephralm (Jos_16:7; called in 1Ch_7:28 Naaran). It is perhaps the ruin el- Aujeh, 6 miles N. of Jericho.

(Heb. Nadrah' נִעֲרָה, a girl, as often; Sept. Νοορά v.r. [by interchange] Θωαδά), the second of the two wives of Ashur (q.v.), of the tribe of Judah, by whom he had four sons (1Ch_4:5-6). B.C. cir. 1618. SEE NAARAN; SEE NAARATH.
