fō?ros (Φορός, Phorós; Codex Vaticanus (Swete) Φαρές, Pharés (1 Esdras 8:30, where the King James Version Pharez)): Name of one of the families, part of whom went up from the exile with Zerubbabel (1 Esdras 5:9) and part with Ezra (Ezr_8:30 the Revised Version (British and American)) = ?Parosh? of Ezr_2:3; Ezr_8:3, and some members of which had taken ?strange wives? (1 Esdras 9:26).
