san?a-sib (Fritzsche, Σανασίβ, Sanası́b, but Codex Vaticanus and Swete, Σαναβείς, Sanabeı́s; Codex Alexandrinus Ἀνασείβ, Anaseı́b): Found only in 1 Esdras 5:24, where the sons of Jeddu, the son of Jesus, are a priestly family returning ?among the sons of Sanasib.? The name is not found in the parallel Ezr_2:36; Neh_7:39, and is perhaps preserved in the Vulgate (Jerome's Latin Bible, 390-405 A.D.) ?Eliasib.?
