is the rendering, in the A. V., of צְפַיחַת, tsephichith (from צָפִח, to flatten), a pancake (Exo_16:31), and of רָקַיק, rakik (from רָקִק, to make thin), a cake (29:2, 23; Lev_2:4; Lev_7:12; Lev_8:26; Num_6:15; Num_6:19; 1Ch_23:29). SEE BAKE. We learn from the above passages that such thin cakes made of fine flour, usually without leaven, and anointed with oil, were used by the Hebrews in connection with their offerings.
