ô?ji-a Αὐγία, Augı́ǎ: The wife of Jaddus, whose sons were removed from priesthood because their names were not found in the register, their ancestors having ?usurped the office of the priesthood? (1 Esdras 5:38). Omitted in Ezr 2 and Neh 7.

(Αὐγία), the daughter of Berzelees and wife of Addus (1Es_5:38), probably a conjecture of the copyists or translator, since her name is not given in either of the genuine texts (Ezr_2:61; Neh_7:63), nor even in the Vulg. at the passage in Esdras.
