Ecclesiastes 09 - What happens when a person dies?

I did apply myself to all these things in order to clearly understand all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their deeds are in the hands of God; and whether it is love or hate that awaits you, man does not know.
Everything is hidden from you in the future. They all share a common destiny: the just and the wicked, the good and the bad, the pure and the impure, what offers sacrifices and what does not offer sacrifices.
What happens to the good man, happens to the sinner; what happens to those who take oaths, happens to those who fear taking them.
This is the evil that exists in everything that happens under the sun: Everyone's destiny is the same.
The hearts of men, moreover, are full of wickedness and madness throughout their lives; and eventually they will join the dead.
Whoever is among the living has hope; because the living dog is better than the dead lion.
Because the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, nor do they ever have a reward, but their memory has been left to oblivion.
Even your love, your hate and your envy have perished and have no part in this century, in anything that is done under the sun.
Go, therefore, eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a good heart, for God is already pleased with your works.
Your clothes should be white at all times, and never lack oil on your head, and always anoint your head with oil.
Enjoy life with the woman you love, every day of this life that God gives you under the sun, as this is your reward in life for your hard work under the sun.
Whatever your hands have to do, let them do it with all their might, because in the grave, where you are going, there is no activity or planning, there is no knowledge or wisdom.
I noticed yet another thing under the sun: the fast do not always win the race; the strong do not always triumph in war; the wise don't always have food; the prudent are not always rich; the educated do not always have prestige; because time and chance affect everyone.
Because the man also does not know his time; no one knows when their time will come: Just as fish are caught in a fatal net and birds are caught in a snare, so are the sons of men tied in bad weather, when it suddenly falls on them.
I also saw under the sun this example of wisdom that impressed me a lot:
There was a small town, with few inhabitants. A powerful king came against her, surrounded her with many devices of war.
A poor but wise man was found in her, who delivered her by her wisdom; however, and no one remembered that poor man.
So I thought: Although wisdom is better than strength, the poor man's wisdom is despised, and soon his words are no longer paid attention.
The words of the wise must be heard more carefully than the cries of those who rule over fools.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
