Psalms 1,2,3 and 4 - Blessed is the man

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, does not stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the circle of scoffers.
Rather, his pleasure is in the law of the LORD, and in his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by the current of water, which, in due time, bears its fruit, and whose foliage does not wither; and everything he does will be successful.
The wicked are not like that; they are, however, like the straw that the wind disperses.
Therefore, the wicked will not prevail in the judgment, nor will sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, You are my Son, today I have begotten you.
Ask me, and I will give you the nations for an inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession.
Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice in him with trembling.
Kiss the Son so that he does not get angry, and do not perish on the way; for his wrath will be kindled in a little while. Blessed are all those who take refuge in it.
you, O LORD, are my shield, you are my glory and the one who exalts my head.
I cry to the Lord with my voice, and he answers me from his holy mountain.
I lie down and fall asleep; I wake up, because the LORD supports me.
Salvation is from the LORD, and your blessing is upon your people.
Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; in anguish, you have relieved me; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
Know, however, that the Lord distinguishes the godly for himself; the LORD hears me when I call on him.
Be angry and do not sin; consult your heart on the pillow and rest.
Offer sacrifices of justice and trust in the Lord.
There are many who say: Who will let us know the good? Lord, lift up the light of your face upon us.
You have put more joy in my heart than their joy, when there is an abundance of grain and wine in them.
In peace I lie down and immediately fall asleep, because, Lord, you alone make me rest safe.
