Psalms 85 and 86 - God's Forgiveness

LORD, you have forgiven the iniquity of your people, you have covered up all their sins.
Restore us, O God of our salvation, and take away your wrath on us.
Will you not make us alive again, that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us, O Lord, your mercy and grant us your salvation.
I will listen to what God the Lord says, for he will speak peace to his people and to his saints; and that they never fall into folly.
Next is his salvation from those who fear him, so that glory may be seen in our land.
Grace and truth were found, justice and peace kissed.
From the earth the truth springs, from the heavens justice lowers its gaze.
The Lord also will give what is good, and our land will bear its fruit.
Justice will go before him, whose footprints it turns into paths.
Incline, O LORD, your ears and answer me, for I am afflicted and needy.
Preserve my soul, for I am godly; you, my God, save your servant who trusts in you.
Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I cry to you continually.
Rejoice the soul of your servant, because to you, Lord, I lift up my soul.
For you, Lord, are good and compassionate; abundant in kindness to all who call on you.
Listen, O LORD, to my prayer and answer the voice of my supplications.
On the day of my distress, I cry out to you, because you answer me.
There are none among the gods like you, Lord; and there is nothing to compare with your works.
All the nations that you have made will come, they will bow down before you, Lord, and they will glorify your name.
For you are great and work wonders; only you are God!
Teach me, O LORD, your way, and I will walk in your truth; set my heart to fear only your name.
I will give thanks to you, Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
For your mercy is great to me, and you have saved my soul from the deepest power of death.
But you, Lord, are God compassionate and full of grace, patient and great in mercy and in truth.
Turn to me and feel sorry for me; grant your strength to your servant.
For you, LORD, help me and console me.
