Brazil is a country that has its energy based on water reserves, building dams for the operation of hydroelectric plants. Hydroelectric is a construction that uses water to turn turbines and generate electricity, and without water there is no generation of energy.
However, currently the reservoirs are at their lowest, which will make energy production more expensive and damage the production system.
But why does this drought occur? Should we ask ourselves what keeps water in the soil and increases the volume of rivers, steadily?
When the soil has no vegetation, it acquires a high temperature, and the water that falls on the soil tends to evaporate quickly. Deserts have this kind of effect.
But when does it rain in a forest?
The rain that falls in a forest, passes through the treetops and falls on the ground, the roots hold the water in the soil, and when the sun warms up, a large part of the water vapor is circulated between the soil and the treetops.
As a result, water is reserved in the soil, and over time water sources are formed, and thus adding this forest effect in several places, the sum of this water occurs forming rivers.
These rivers and this safe steam through the forest, generate more constant rains, and large masses of water volume. And so there would be rivers with volume to be dammed, and to generate energy.
But if the forests are devastated: the water system reduces, the rainfall reduces, and so there is no amount of water to supply the hydroelectric plants.
Therefore, energy is directly linked to the conservation of forests, when energy has to do with the volume of water.
The basic rule is more forests, more water, less forests less water.
