HASSENAAH.His sons built the Fish-gate (Neh_3:6). Their name, which is prob. the same as Hassenuah, seems to be derived from some place Senaah (cf. Ezr_2:35, Neh_7:38). See Senaah.

has-ē̇-nā?a (הסּנאה, haṣṣenā'āh): In Neh_3:3 the ?sons of Hassenaah? are mentioned among the builders of the wall. Probably the same as Senaah (Ezr_2:35; Neh_7:38) with the definite article, i.e. has-Senaah. The latter, from the connection, would appear to be a place-name. See also HASSENUAH.
