Irpeel
(Hebrew Yirpeel', יַרְפְּאֵל, restored by God; Sept. Ι᾿ερφαήλ), a city in the tribe of Benjamin, mentioned between Rekem and Taralah (Jos_18:27). The associated names only afford a conjectural position somewhere in the district west of Jerusalem, possibly at el-Kustul (Lat. castellum), on a conical hill about half way between Kuloniyeh (Lat. colonia) and Soba (Robinson, Researches, 2, 328).
