jā-a-zı̄?a (יעזיּהוּ, ya‛ăzı̄yāhū, ?Yah strengthens?): In 1Ch_24:26, 1Ch_24:27, a Levite, ?son? of Merari. But the Massoretic Text is corrupt. The Septuagint's Codex Vaticanus reads (Ὀζειά, Ozeiá), which some take to suggest Uzziah (compare 1Ch_27:25); see Curtis, Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the Books of Chronicles, 274-75; See Kittel, at the place.

Jaaziah
(Heb. only in the paragogic form Yaaziya'hu, יִעֲזַיָּהוּ, comforted by Jehovah; Sept. Ο᾿ζία), apparently a third son, or a descendant of Merari the Levite, and the founder of an independent house in that family (1Ch_24:26-27) (B.C. ante 1014); but neither he nor his descendants are mentioned elsewhere (compare the lists in 23:21-23; Exo_6:19). The word Beno (בְּנוֹ), which follows Jaaziah, should probably be translated his son, i.e. the son of Merari. But the text is in such a state that it is hard to know in what light to regard the person to whom it is assigned. Elsewhere the only sons of Merari mentioned are Mahli and Mushi (Exo_6:10; Num_3:33; 1Ch_6:4 [A.V. 19]; 23:21).
