voice of the Lord; gathering together
(same as Kelitah)
Hitchcock's Bible Names Dictionary
KELAIAH.A Levite who had married a foreign wife (Ezr_10:23), called in 1Es_9:23 Colius. In Ezr. the gloss is added which is Kelita (in 1 Es. who was called Calitas). Kelita appears in Neh_8:7 as one of the Levites who assisted Ezra in expounding the Law (cf. 1Es_9:48 Calitas), and his name occurs amongst the signatories to the covenant (Neh_10:10). It does not follow, however, that because Kelaiah was also called Kelita he is to be identified with this Kelita.

kḗ-lā?ya, kḗ-lı̄?a (קליה, ḳēlāyāh, ?swift for Yah?[?]; Κωλίος, Kōlı̄os; Codex Vaticanus, Κώνος, Kṓnos): One of the priests who had ?foreign wives? (Ezr_10:23, also ?Kelita?). In parallel list of 1 Esdras 9:23, he again has a double name - ?Colius? and ?Calitas.? A ?Kelita? is named as helping Ezra at the expounding of the law (Neh_8:7; compare 1 Esdras 9:48, ?Calitas?), and also among the signatories of the covenant (Neh_10:9; for nature of covenant see Neh_10:28 ff). They may not, however, be the same person.
