(1) A Benjamite, son of Jeiel (1Ch_8:32; 1Ch_9:37, 1Ch_9:38). A comparison of the two passages shows that the name Mikloth has been dropped at the end of 1Ch_8:31.
(2) An officer designated ?the ruler,? appointed in the priestly course for the 2nd month (1Ch_27:4).

Mikloth
(Heb. Mikloth', מַקְלוֹת, prob. i.q. מִקְּלוֹתstaves, as in Gen_30:37, etc.; Sept. Μακαλώθ, Μακελώθ, and Μακελλώθ, the name of two men.
1. The principal officer of, the second contingent of troops under Dodo, during the reign of David and Solomon (1Ch_27:4). B.C. 1014.
2. A descendant of Benjamin resident at Jerusalem, and father of Shimeah or Shimean; of the family of king Saul, but in what degree of relationship is not clear (1Ch_8:32; 1Ch_9:37-38). B.C. perhaps cir. 536.
