OUCH.The word ouch is used in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] for the setting of a jewel, but it is also used in Old Eng. for the jewel itself. See Breastplate (of the High Priest).

(only in the plur. מַשְׁבְּצוֹת, mishbetsoth', textures, e.g. brocade, as Psa_45:14; hence settings), bezels, in which gems are set; hence the sockets for fastening the precious stones in the shoulder-pieces of the high- priest's ephod (Exo_28:11; Exo_28:14; Exo_28:25; Exo_39:13; Exo_39:16). SEE EPHOD.
