Sallu
the name of two Hebrews, differently spelled in the original.
1. (Heb. סִלּוּא, Sallu' [ סִלֻּאin Neh_11:7], weighed; Sept. Σαλώ, v.r. Σηλώ, Σαλώμ.) A Benjaminite, son of Meshullam, dwelling in Jerusalem after the return from exile (Neh_11:7; 1Ch_9:7), B.C. cir. 459.
2. (Heb. סִלּוּ, Sallu', weighed; Sept. Σαλού v.r. Σαλλουαϊv.) Another name (Neh_12:7) for SALLAI (Neh_12:20), No. 2 (q.v.).
