(2) One of the heads of families of the sons of Adonikam who returned with Ezra (1 Esdras 8:39) = ?Shemaiah? in Ezr_8:13.
(3) One of the ?men of understanding? whom Ezra commissioned to obtain from Loddeus, the captain, men to execute the priest's office (1 Esdras 8:44) = ?Shemaiah? in Ezr_8:16 (the King James Version Mamaias).
(4) the King James Version = the Revised Version (British and American) ?Shemaiah the great,? a kinsman of Tobit and father of Ananias and Jonathan (Tobit 5:13).
