teb-a-lı̄?a, te-bal?ya (טבליהוּ, ṭebhalyāhū, ?Yahweh hath dipped,? i.e. ?purified?; Codex Vaticanus Ταβλαί, Tablaı́; Codex Alexandrinus Ταβελίας, Tabelı́as; Lucian, Ταβεήλ, Tabeḗl): A Merarite gatekeeper. (1Ch_26:11). The name should perhaps read טוביּהוּ, ṭōbhı̄yāhū, ?Yahweh is good? (possibly from טוביהו, t-w-b-y-h-w misread טבל־ יהו, ṭebhalyāhū). See TOBIJAH.
