Dimnah
(Hebrews Dinznah', דִּמְנָה, a dung-hill; Sept. Δεμνά, Vulg. Danna), a Levitical city of the tribe of Zebulon, assigned to the family of the Merarites (Jos_21:35). Gesenius, however, suggests that in this place we ought rather to read רַמֹּנָה, Rimmonah, the REMMON SEE REMMON (q.v.) mentioned in a similar connection in Jos_19:13; 1Ch_6:62 (see Bertheau, Chronic, pages 72, 73; Movers, Chronik, page 72).
