Scab
(גָּרָב, garab, Deu_28:27; elsewhere scurvy, a diseased scurf on the skin; מַסְפִחִת, mispachath, Lev_13:6-8; a harmless cutaneous eruption; סִפִּחִת, sappachath, Lev_13:2; 14, 56, the mange in the hair causing it to fall out; kindred with these last two is שָׂפִחfor סָפִח, saphach, to smite with a scab, Isa_3:17, i.e. premature baldness; יִלֶּפֶת, yallepheth, Lev_21:20; Lev_22:22, an itching or tetter in the skin).
