The act of painting the body emerged with the polytheistic people in its earliest origins. And they represented the embodiment of their gods in their own bodies.

Thus, action painting the body and wear masks represented the same ideology. The foundation was to be what one is not. A priest was determined supreme painting his face and setting that was representative of his divinity.

Over time the polytheists people absorbed the idea of his priests and painted their faces and bodies to establish a connection with their deities and define their positions and as always the foundation to pretend that they were not.

The more people who spread paint on their faces is the Egyptian culture. In Egyptian culture both men and women painted their faces, and the priests could not contact their gods without paint your face. It was thanks to the high-ranking Egyptian men paint their faces.

Across the Middle East region people used paint to define beauty and holiness to their gods.

A highlight in these people was different customs, such people were the Hebrews. The priests were determined to bathe and clean the entire skin, dress in clean cloth and offer sacrifices to God. Could not such a priest and any man entering the atria of the sanctuary with any paint. When the Hebrew men were in Egypt, they used to paintings but coming out of Egypt such men no longer used to such customs. This involved not use the customs of the people around, as quotes the verse from Leviticus.

Lev 20:23 And do not walk in the customs of the nation which I cast out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

But it noted that while men did not use paint custom, women remained with the customs arising from Egypt and neighboring peoples.

Why this happened? Why the woman was considered a non-priestly class, this was linked to her husband, and this should meet the sanctity, while the woman was tied to man's obedience. So while the man was forced to Sabbath keeping, the woman was subject only to her husband's obedience. So that she need not keep the Sabbath if man so determine necessary, as this woman was not likely to receive the divine inheritance of God's blessings.

The vision of the Hebrew Talmud was not linked to the priestly act of God, was not linked to God's standards, so the man was forbidden to paint, while the woman was only prohibited only the man who define it to be banned.

While Hebrew men not painted, most of them liked to see their wives painted like the wives of other people and so many of them accepted this custom in their women as they consider that only man is the divine priesthood, being a woman put in subrace position could paint it was not part of connection with God.

So while the Hebrew men should not wear pendants, paintings or decorations because they are clean morals of the people, women who were not related to God could.

But with the coming of Christ was put that the woman would be in divine connection system, with the same rights to the blessings which man receives from God, and so the woman was linked the same obligations of holiness than men. Thus, the male requirement models were passed as needed for women, so Scripture says:

1 Peter 3: 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair and the wearing of gold jewelry, or putting on of apparel,
1 Peter 3: 4 but whatever man of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which are so that things remain

As the man is a priest and are required to holiness, holiness is also defined the woman and we can see the text:

1 Timothy 2: 9 I, likewise, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly array;
1 Timothy 2:10 but (as befits women professing godliness) with good works.

The act of painting involves an inner vanity, in which the person to contemplate tends to feel pretty, and that is linked to aesthetic factors of the environment they live in. People in that the Hebrews were in contact paintings used, but the Hebrew man such were forbidden. So holiness means separation of the unnecessary things and the pursuit of things that help our neighbor.

A cosmetic analysis example is the use tends to clog pores and skin with prolonged use over the years, favors an extension of the pore size and skin reducing elasticity. But using cutting-edge products such problems tend to be well minimized, only has a big question, the end products are expensive. In a Christian society in which the aesthetic custom is the use of paints, makes many poor women have to choose to use cosmetics cheap prices and doubtful quality, rather than first-line products tend to decrease the deleterious effects of painting the skin.

This is a kind of cultural pressure that should not be in Christian circles. When we read the Bible "with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire", we are looking at a costly dress is just for a few people, and beyond that such money can be used both in preaching the gospel as in helping needy people, such ornament generates a class divide, those who can afford and those who can not buy.

With the painting is the same. When we read the text of the early church are:

Act 2:44 And all that believed were together and had everything in common.
Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need of each.

Thus the use of vanity works tend to distance the use of this money for aid works. And the need for the use of premium products in cosmetics for skin health involves something that is not necessary causing grief for those who can not buy and demonstration of class difference for those uses. On average many women reduce their working budget to food, health and more useful actions to spend on cosmetics.

In addition to the bond that the paintings have with idolatry of shares in its base culture, plus the fundamental ideology that painting is the act of trying to be what one is not. And the consequences of visual demonstration classes and cultural monetary weight to the lower classes. Demonstrate that the use of such custom is not favoritism to a Christian life but a cause of trouble to employ in stocks physically and spiritually necessary.

It is therefore rational, that a Christian community that is free of this cultural obstacle, is acting in order to devise better with the way of life in community and more egalitarian, causing values that can be employed in spiritual growth, are not applied in vanity and a veiled deceit, linked to a cultural connection idolatry.

James 4:17 Wherefore let him that knoweth to do good and not do it, sins.

The great obstacle both to the acceptance and for the promulgation of truth, is the fact that this implies nuisance and reproach. This is the only argument against the truth which its advocates have never been able to refute. But this does not deter the true followers of Christ. They do not expect the truth to become popular.
