A number line is a mathematical creation based on a ruler. In fact, things were measured from very ancient times using rulers. Or measurement bars.
Discovering the size of things is extremely important, and so the number line is used as a mathematical foundation to generate formulas to observe reality.
The number line is just to generate the future idea of the Cartesian plane. Thus, understanding the number line, we can understand the Cartesian plane.
A number line is usually divided into whole numbers, but we can see divisions, which can be smaller or larger depending on the need.
The basis for understanding mathematical functions in graphs is understanding the number line. Thus, one can later understand the three-dimensional spatial functions.
Modern games are basically managed by three-dimensional and mathematical knowledge of positions.
Let's for example look at a number line, and find the value of half. Half is 1 divided by 2. So we have the value will be halfway between 0 and 1. This will be the value of 0.5, which is half.
And the value of 3 divided by 2, that value is 1.5, and so we can see that this point is after the 1, and before the 2, halfway between them.
We can go to the negative side, negative 1 divided by 2, is negative half, or negative 0.5, and we can look at it in place on the number line. Same thing for negative 3 divided by 2, and we can see where the value of negative 1.5 is.
Usually the difficulty is not in placing the number on the line, but in finding the number in its approximate form.
